Arriving and Getting around Zurich

Reception:

You will have to inform us about your arrival details in the online registration form. If there are any late changes, please don't forget to let us know!

We will arrange for you that a member of our conference team will meet you at Zurich airport or at Zurich Main Station.

The meeting point at Zurich Main Station is under the Big Clock. At the Airport, we will meet you at the Arrivals area of your landing Terminal.

In case there is a change or delay on your arrival, please contact us directly by phone, as it would be the best way to reschedule your picking up.

Just in case: If you arrive in a different hour and haven't found anyone waiting for you, you can reach the hotel easily by using the public transportation.  Every 30 minutes there is a train (called "S16") from Zurich Airport to Zurich Hardbrücke. From there it is a few minutes walk to the Novotel.

No matter which hotel you choose, we will welcome you at the Novotel lobby! There you will have to pay the Conference Fee (if you did not pay in advance) and you will receive your name tag and your conference bag. Only afterwards you can go to your hotel reception to check in.

Getting Around in Zurich:

If you are having some free time, then the easiest way to get to the center is by taking the S-Bahn from Zürich Hardbrücke towards the Central Train Station, Zurich HB.

Zurich Public Transport (ZVV) offers an efficient, safe and clean public transportation that helps you to travel around the city easily. The network includes buses, trams, S-Bahn (local trains) and even some boats on the lake, and you can travel in all of them using the same ticket.

Please make sure to buy a ticket before boarding into any kind of transport. Tickets must be purchased from a ticket machine or from one of the ticket selling kiosks. We recommend to get a "Tageskarte Zone 10" (day card valid for 24hr) for 8.00 CHF. The ticket covers the city and should be enough for your needs. You can also buy this ticket at the Novotel reception.

During the social events, IAESTE Switzerland will arrange coaches to transfer all the delegates to the venues and back.
